A raw vegan lifestyle can do wonders for our health. Fresh, raw foods are what our bodies were designed for and can help us reach our optimal health and well-being.
This approach to eating emphasizes the consumption of whole, unprocessed, and uncooked foods, often comprising fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, sprouted grains, sprouts and micro greens.
I strongly believe that raw foods are not only richer in nutrients but also offer a variety of health benefits that cooked and processed foods simply cannot match.
Succeeding as a raw vegan or simply consuming more raw foods on a daily basis doesn’t require endless recipes or rare superfoods. Fruit is the basic simple and easy thing to grab and call it a raw meal. It’s not just a snack – it can literally serve as a whole meal. Perfect, colorful, aromatic, and mouth-watering fruit – choose your favourite and fill up a plate for breakfast. My choice is often ripe mangoes, oranges, strawberries or watermelon. Simple cut them on a plate and here you have a perfect hydrating, nourishing and life-giving breakfast.
By eating 80% or more living foods, you can experience incredible health benefits. This isn’t a fad diet; it’s a path to a healthier, happier you and it’s a lifestyle that more and more people start to follow because it offers effortless weight loss, glowing skin, and a toxin-free body. If you want to be alive, eat foods that give life.
How Raw Foods Make Us Feel
Long-term followers of raw food diets often show unique physical traits that distinguish them from those who eat more traditional diets. I love following people on a highly raw diet and observe what they’re doing, why they’re doing it and how it affects their quality of life. I slowly made myself going more and more into healthy raw food diet and I myself notice a difference in my appearance and overall health. But let’s see which are the most common benefits from eating more raw vegan foods.
1.Near-ideal Weight
Long-term raw foodists tend to maintain a near-ideal weight, indicating the potential for effective weight management through a raw food diet. Eating more fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and sprouts makes us feel full but with fewer calories consumed which may help the body lose weight.
2. Graceful Movement
Raw foodists often show a youthful grace and agility, suggesting enhanced flexibility and physical vitality.
3. Slim Face, No Puffiness
The low sodium content in raw foods may lead to reduced facial puffiness, contributing to a slimmer facial appearance.
4. Clear Eyes
Long-term raw foodists often have bright and clear eyes, indicating improved eye health and alertness.
5. Healthy, Long Fingernails
The condition of one’s nails can reflect past health, and raw foodists often have healthy, long fingernails, potentially indicating overall well-being. I am an example of this benefit too. Consuming more vegan raw foods helped my nails grow stronger and healthier. Switching to a highly raw vegan diet for just 3 months may help you see the same effect too.
6. Absence of Liver Spots on the Hands
Long-term raw foodists are observed to have minimal or no liver spots, which may suggest a slower rate of aging.
7. Glowing Skin
Many raw foodists display a clear and dewy complexion, possibly attributed to regular juicing and effective skin care.
8. No Need for Eyeglasses for Up-close Reading
Some raw foodists exhibit a delay in age-related vision changes, suggesting potential benefits for eye health.

Just one raw vegan meal a day may helps us get healthier and happier. In my opinion, one raw vegan meal a day is so easy to achieve! When going to work, for example, just put 4-5 bananas in your bag and here is your breakfast. Stop at a local grocery shop and get a box with grapes, strawberries, blueberries or a smoothie and here is your one raw vegan meal a day. For lunch, I always love to have peaches or apricots in the summer and a salad with olives, micro greens and vegetables in the winter. The afternoon snack can also be an easy deal: 2-3 Medjool dates + raw almond butter and a raw homemade almond milk. Yum!
Here are five simple raw food meal ideas that anyone can easily make at home:
- Zucchini Noodles with Pesto: Spiralize fresh zucchini into noodles and toss them with a homemade pesto made from basil, garlic, pine nuts, olive oil, and nutritional yeast or a sprinkle of salt.
- Raw Veggie Wraps: Use large leafy greens like collard greens or lettuce as wraps. Fill them with sliced avocado, shredded carrots, bell peppers, cucumbers, sprouts, and a drizzle of tahini or a homemade raw dressing.
- Fruit Salad with Coconut Flakes: Combine a variety of fresh fruits like berries, mango, kiwi, and pineapple. Top with coconut flakes and a handful of raw nuts or seeds for added texture and nutrition.
- Raw Cauliflower Tabouli: Pulse cauliflower florets in a food processor until they reach a rice-like consistency. Mix with chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, parsley, mint, lemon juice, and olive oil for a refreshing and filling salad.
- Green Smoothie: Blend together fresh spinach, a ripe banana, a handful of frozen mango or pineapple, and some almond milk or coconut water. Add a tablespoon of flaxseeds or chia seeds for extra fiber and omega-3s. This smoothie is a quick, nutrient-packed breakfast or snack that’s refreshing and easy to make.
